Connecticut provides two types of return locations

RETAILERS

All  beverage retailers are required to take back beverages of the same kind and brand they sell – though they may accept more as a courtesy. Grocery stores, chain pharmacies and dollar stores are common return locations.

REDEMPTION CENTERS

Redemption centers are locations designed primarily to accept cans and bottles for redemption. Redemption centers typically accept all eligible deposit containers for a refund. When the state’s deposit value increases from five to ten cents, more redemption centers are expected to open for business across Connecticut.
